Signed copy of Little Journeys by Elbert Hubbard, Volume I of a 14 volume set. Twelvemo, 366pp. Maroon suede spine, gilt title, paper boards. Marbled endpapers. Uncut leafs. Frontispiece portrait with tissue cover. Inscribed by Elbert Hubbard on front leaf: “To Merton A. Cheesman / in loving honor of his Little Journey to East Aurora / Elbert Hubbard / March 22nd 1915.” The book signed shortly before his death aboard the Lusitania in 1915.

Comments: Elbert Hubbard was a founding figure in the Arts and Crafts movement of the early 20th Century, specifically the Roycroft Artisan Community in East Aurora, New York. Little Journeys was one of his more influential works. Signature comes with letter of guarantee from JSA Authentication.
