Octavo, [iv], 336pp. Publishers black cloth, gilt title on spine with decorative panels, gilt illustration on cover. Frontispiece and 7 illustrated plates. Top edge gilt, uncut leading and bottom edges. Light bumping to corners, wear at ends of spine, scuff mark on front cover. Previous owners bookplate on front end paper. Housed in custom made clamshell case, gilt title and decoration on spine. Signed on the reverse of the half title page in purple ink, with limitation page at rear. Comments: Orlando by Virginia Woolf is considered by many to be a feminist classic, written about the family history of Woolf’s lover and fellow writer, Vita Sackville-West. An attractive example in a custom made display case.
