Description
Octavo, 3 Volumes, ea. 550 pp. (+/-), dark blue cloth with gold embossed bindings each Glassine tissue enclosed and housed together in a matching cloth slip cover. Near fine bindings with fine leaves throughout. Slip cover has bumped corners and 3 cm non-penetrating dent on edge.
Comments: Illustration of the Congressional Medal on side of slipcase. Goddard was awarded medal in 1959 and dedicated to his wife at the dedication of the Goddard Space Flight Center in 1961. All volumes are tight and square with gilt lettering and illustrations. No markings or tears, seemingly never opened or read. Slipcase has bumped corners and 3 cm non-penetrating dent.
