Souvenir monograph signed by Ohio Gov. William McKinley, An Ohio Night: Proceedings Of The Ohio Society Of New York, February 13, 1893. This monograph was presented to members of the Ohio Society at the following years dinner, where Gov. William McKinley was the featured speaker at the occasion.

Octavo, 24pp, [2]. Textured white vellum cover, title stamped in silver, saddle-stitch binding. Light wear to tips, internally clean. Frontispiece portrait of General William T. Sherman, with tissue cover. Signed in pencil on the front endpaper by future president of the United States, William McKinley.

William McKinley (1843-1901) was serving as the 39th Governor of Ohio when this pamphlet was produced in 1893 and was the featured speaker at the 1894 dinner in New York. This work was presented to the membership at the 1894 meeting, as noted on the front cover and in the minutes of the 1894 assembly. The pamphlet includes a transcript of the 1893 meeting, which occurred at the Society Club House at 236 Fifth Avenue on February 13, 1893. At this meeting, a portrait painted by James H. Beard of Gen. William T. Sherman was presented by the society president, Colonel William L. Strong, to the Ohio Society.
