Comments: This book was the first published account of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Much to the dismay of Captains Lewis and Clarke, Patrick Gass printed his account nearly 7-years before the official account was published by Lewis and Clark. He coined the term “Corp of Discovery,” which became synonymous with the Lewis and Clark Expedition. (Sabin 26741) (Howes G77)
