Octavo, vii, 41pp, [5]. Quarter green cloth, marbled boards, gilt lettering on spine. Complete with four woodcut illustrations by Harry Cimino. Numerous unopened leaves. In the publisher’s slipcase, paper title on the spine, matching limitation number handwritten on spine, lightly bumped lower corner, a near fine example. Includes the publisher’s tissue paper jacket, torn along the spine, jacket exceedingly scarce.

From a limited edition printing of 990 copies, this copy numbered 850. Signed by President Herbert Hoover and French Strother on the front free endpaper, the only known example signed by Strother.
A fine example.
French Strother served as President Herbert Hoover’s Administrative Assistant and speechwriter during his one-term as President. This work was the first publication of the Huntington Press in New York. The text was first published by the U.S. Government Printing Office in 1927.
