Faint soiling along top edge of text block. In the publisher’s second state dust jacket, with reviews by E.M. Forester and Truman Capote, retail price of $3.50 on front flap. Light shelf wear to dust jacket, rubbing to edge of green panel on front, faint dampstain to rear panel, a few closed tears.
A Separate Peace follows the author’s experiences at “The Devon School,” but is often compared to Philip Exeter Academy. It is the author’s most celebrated work.
