Bookplate affixed to front end paper. From a limited edition of 1000 copies signed by Edward VIII, this is number 46. A scarce signed copy from the former British monarch.

Comments: This limited edition of 1000 copies was signed by Edward VIII, the Prince of Wales, on the first 100 copies. The remaining 900 were signed by members of the Royal National Life-Boat Institution. The author of this book, Alec John Dawson was a major during World War I. He was awarded MBE for his service as a military propagandist. His most noteworthy work was Finn the Wolfhouse, published in 1908.
