Octavo, [viii], 368pp. Green cloth, title stamped in silver on spine. Includes “Scribner’s A” on copyright page, but no seal. Tarr notes that advance and proof copies all contained the Scribner’s “A,” but lacked the seal, making this a first issue. Small ink blemish along top edge of text block, internally clean.
Includes the publisher’s dust jacket, price-clipped, faint sunning along the spine, touch of wear at the head of the spine, bright illustrations, a near fine example.
