Publishers dust jacket, $1.50 price on front flap, 1.5cm loss on front top edge, shelf wear on rear panel. Previous ownership signature on front endpaper. Signed by author Martin Niemoller.
Comments: Martin Niemoller was a Lutheran pastor in Germany, who opposed Nazi state control of the churches leading up to WWII. For his statements, he was imprisoned at Dachau and Sachsenhausen concentration camps from 1938-1945. History best remembers him for the following statement: “First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist…Then they came for me – and there was no one left to speak for me.”
