Octavo, x, 190pp. Illustrated paperback. Includes hundreds of photographs and portraits. Tape remnant to front free endpaper from business card, which was previously affixed.
This copy is inscribed by General of the Army Omar N. Bradley to Colonel Bruce Holmgrain: “To Bruce Holmgrain / With appreciation for his help in our reunions and with thanks for his fine contribution to the work of our 12th Army Group Staff / Omar N. Bradley.”
One of two known copies signed by General Bradley.
Colonel Bruce E. Holmgrain (1917-1996) was a career U.S. Army Signal Corps officer who served in London during World War II and later on the Army General Staff at the Pentagon. Holmgrain assisted Bertram Kalisch with the photographic material for Eagle XX, and is specifically thanked by Kalisch in the volume’s acknowledgments.
