Far Away and Long Ago: A History of My Early Life by W. H. Hudson was first published in 1918, with the London edition issued by J. M. Dent & Sons and the American edition by E. P. Dutton & Company. (Wilson, 32) The book is Hudson’s memoir of his childhood on the Argentine pampas, combining autobiography, natural history, and recollections of rural South American life.
A fine press edition appeared in 1943, published by the Limited Editions Club in Buenos Aires, with an introduction by R. B. Cunninghame Graham, lithographs by Raúl Rosarivo, design by Alberto Kraft, and a limitation of 1,500 signed copies.
