Inscribed by Bob Hope on the half title with humorous inscription: Best wishes from the “Longest Delivery Chicken Delight Ever Made.” Bob Hope.

The moniker “Chicken Delight” was used by Bob Hope in 1968 during a “Salute to the USO” boxing match at Madison Square Gardens. Before a crowd of 20,000 people, Bob Hope sparred against Rocky Marciano, the unbeaten heavyweight champion. His second fight of the night was against Barbara Eden. The event was attended by dignitaries such as General Omar Bradley, Jack Dempsey and Gene Tunney.
