From Manassas to Appomattox was offered for sale by subscription in 1895. The most common binding is cloth, but it was also offered in full sheepskin, full morocco and three quarter morocco. Since its publication, this book by Confederate General Longstreet has been viewed as an historically important work, but is often defensive in tone and written in the characteristic style of a 19th century soldier.
