Bookplate affixed to front end paper, noting that this copy was presented by the Ohio Archeological and Historical Society of Columbus, Ohio. A scarce first edition copy of the history of the George Rogers Clark’s expedition into the northwestern frontier.

Comments: George Rogers Clark was known as the “Conquerer of the Old Northwest” for his weakening of the British influence in the Northwestern frontier during the American Revolutionary War. His younger brother, William Clark, accompanied Meriwether Lewis on the Lewis and Clark Expedition of 1804 to discover an overland route to the Pacific Ocean.
