Quarto, xxi, [3], 815pp, [4pp ads]. Publisher’s blue cloth, title stamped in gilt on the spine. Stated “Second Revised Edition” on the title page, with a new preface added for this edition. This work is complete with frontispiece portrait, ten color plates, illustration of Elkanah Watson and over one hundred in-text wood cut illustrations. Light wear to tips of the spine, private collection stamp on the second free endpaper, a few pencil marginalia notes, solid text block. (Sabin 65012)
