May 18, 1961.” Also accompanied by letters signed from Alger Hiss to the recipient of the signed book, Stan Marx. Mr. Marx was a bookseller in Rosalyn, Long Island.
Comments: Alger Hiss worked for the US State Department and worked towards the establishment of the United Nations. In 1948, he was accused of being a Soviet Spy, then convicted in 1950.
