Octavo, iv, 405pp, [9]. Publisher’s blue morocco, gilt title on spine, presidential seal and title in gilt on the front cover. Marbled endpapers with gilt inlays. Sewn-in blue silk bookmark. Housed in the publisher’s matching blue leather slipcase. Insert on rear pastedown to hold a copy of President Obama’s inaugural address, if requested.
One of approximately 200 copies printed for members of the 56th Inaugural Luncheon, held on January 20, 2009 in Statuary Hall. This is only the second to appear on the public market, the first was President Carter’s personal copy.
