Inscription reads: “To Edward Elwill Whiting, With fraternal greetings and assurances of high personal regards. Sincerely, Warren G. Harding.” Provenance: From the collection of Dr. M. Donald Hayes.
Edward Elwell Whiting was an author, with works on Calvin Coolidge (Calvin Coolidge, His Ideals of Citizenship as Revealed through his Speeches and Writings) and Changing New England. He was also a journalist for the Boston Globe.
