Tall octavo, [three volumes]. Patterned hardcovers, with spine in gilt on blue cloth spines. Faint dust remnants to edges. Solid text blocks, bright boards, with a touch of sunning to spines. A near fine set. Lacking the original dust jackets, as normal. Housed in the matching cardboard slipcase, worn and slightly split along edges.
One of 1500 limited edition copies, this one numbered 562. Signed by the artist, Robert Gibbings, who created engravings on wood for the set.
