From the personal library of Heinrich Himmler, inscribed with “H. Himmler 25/26 XII 36.” on front free end paper in green ink.

Comments: Heinrich Himmler was a leading member of the Nazi Party, taking control of Hitler’s Gestapo and SS. He is considered to be the main architect of the Holocaust, overseeing the construction of the extermination camps and directed their activities during World War II. In the final months of the war, Hitler appointed him commander of the Upper Rhine High Command, but after 45 days the army began to crumble. Once captured by British troops, Himmler committed suicide instead of facing trial at Nuremberg.
