Don DeLillo (b. 1936) received the National Book Award for Fiction in 1985 for his work White Fiction. His next work was this piece, Libra, a fictional telling of Lee Harvey Oswald’s participation in a CIA conspiracy to assassinate President John F. Kennedy.
