Quarto, 22pp. Blue paper boards over buckram cloth. Title on label affixed to front panel. Blue endpapers. Clean text with light toning to endpapers. Illustrated with multiple black and white photographs of Springfield, Newspaper clippings and Lincoln himself. On rear endpaper, book is signed by James Roosevelt, noting: “From the library of James Roosevelt.”
Comments: James Roosevelt (1907-1991) was the eldest son of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt. He received the Navy Cross for his heroism during WWII, while serving in the Marine Corps. He served in the United States House of Representatives from 1955-1965 as a democrat from California, but later in life supported many conservative causes.
