Description

Octavo, [two volumes]. Brown morocco, title in gilt on spine, raised bands, decorative gilt illustrations on covers. Wear at edges, some loss of gilt on spines. All edges gilt. Yellow end papers. Inscribed by the author to The Price of Wales, the future King Edward VII. Inscription reads: “From the author, To His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, with the deepest feelings of loyalty and devotion.”

Comments: Edward VII reigned as the King of the Great Britain from 1901 until 1910. He was the eldest son of Queen Victoria and the longest serving Price of Wales in British history. His short reign was known as the Edwardian era, with rapid technological and social changes affecting the kingdom.
