This work was adapted for the Netflix series Mindhunter, which aired from 2017-2019 and starred Jonathan Groff. Created by Joe Penhall and executive produced by David Fincher and Charlize Theron, the series received two Primetime Emmy nominations. Jonathan Groff won the 2018 Satellite Award for Best Actor in a Drama.
