Description

Signed first edition of Mission to Mars: An Astronaut’s Vision of Our Future in Space.

Octavo, xii, 307pp. Gray hardcover, red cloth spine, title stamped in silver on spine. First printing with full number line on copyright page. Likely never read.

In the publisher’s near fine dust jacket, retail price on front flap, touch of shelf wear, an excellent example.

Signed by Apollo 11 command module pilot, Michael Collins, on the title page.

Michael Collins served as the command module pilot during the Apollo 11 mission. He flew to the moon alongside Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin but remained in orbit as the others explored the surface. He retired from NASA in 1970. He is one of 24 people who have flown to the moon.
