Octavo, [24 unnumbered leaves]. Full brown morocco, thin gilt trim to covers. Five raised bands, title in gilt on spine. Decorative gilt turn-ins. Finely bound by the Harcourt Bindery, with bindery imprint on verso of front cover. Solid text block, fine condition. Complete with 18 full-page etchings stamped on handmade paper. Housed in a brown cloth slipcase.
One of 60 copies printed on handmade paper, this one numbered 21. Signed by Aubrey Schwartz on the limitation page.
Aubrey Schwartz (1928-2019) was a lifelong etching and engraving artist who studied printmaking at the Art Students League of New York and the Brooklyn Museum Art School.
