Small quarto, xiv, 369pp, [1]. Brown pictorial cloth, title stamped in dark brown on front cover and spine, illustrated endpapers. Complete with color plates and numerous black-and-white photographic illustrations from life by the author. Light soiling to cloth boards, wear at head and heel of the spine. Internally clean. Lacking the scarce dust jacket.
Inscribed on the second free endpaper: “For Margaret / with love from her friend / Gene Stratton-Porter.”
