Light bumped to edge. Complete with eight black and white photographs, and a map of Israel. In the publisher’s dust jacket, £6.75 on the front flap, small chip at head of the spine, a few closed tears, a very good example.
Gift inscription opposite the half-title, noting this copy was signed by Mrs. Meir at a dinner honoring Mrs. Walter C. Lowdermilk on March 19, 1976, in Tel Aviv. Housed in custom blue cloth slipcase. This copy is signed on the half-title by Golda Meir.
Golda Meir (1898-1978) served as the fourth Prime Minister of Israel. She remains the only woman elected as Prime Minister of Israel. She served from 1969-1974, resigning after the Yom Kippur War. She was succeeded by Yitzhak Rabin.
