Carmen and Knizhnik coined the moniker “Notorious RBG,” comparing the Justice to the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. after her blistering dissent in the 2013 voting rights case, Shelby v. Holder. The duo first created a Tumblr blog, which then led to the publication of this title.
