Small octavo, x, [2], 103pp, [1]. Finely bound in three-quarter blue morocco, blue cloth covered boards. Original binding’s gilt illustration stamped on red cloth affixed to both covers. Five raised bands, title in gilt on spine, decorative gilt compartments. Top edge gilt. Stated “First Published in 1927” on copyright page. Solid text block, light wear to leather along edges of spine and corners. Sunned spine. Black and white illustrations by Ernest H. Shepard throughout text. A nice copy of a classic children’s story.
The third piece in the original four-part set of Winnie-the-Pooh stories, also including When We Were Very Young, Winnie-the-Pooh, and The House at Pooh Corner.
