O Shepherd, Speak! is the tenth novel in Upton Sinclair’s Lanny Budd series. Budd is a socialite who engages with various high ranking world leaders throughout the early 20th century. This novel, covering 1945 and 1946, includes President Roosevelt’s decline in health, his passing, and his funeral. All feature Eleanor Roosevelt, which deepens the association between the two figures.
