The true first printing of the Principles of Mining by Herbert Hoover was published by Hill Publishing Company (Pearl Street, New York), prior to merging into McGraw-Hill in late 1909. The second printings and beyond are identified by the publication statement on the title page and the McGraw-Hill Book Company imprint on the title page.
