Limited edition of the Second Book of Verse by Eugene Field.

Octavo, ix, [1], 260pp, [2]. Three-quarter vellum, paper-covered boards. Title in gilt on black morocco label affixed to spine. No additional printings listed. Slight lean to text block, worn at corners, with toning along edges. One of 300 copies, this one numbered 203 on the colophon. Signed by the printer, John Wilson + Son of Cambridge, on the limitation page.

Eugene Field (1850-1895) was an author of children’s poetry and humorous essays, as well as a journalist. Field’s most notable works include: “Wunken, Blynken, and Nod,” “The Gingham Dog and the Calico Cat,” and “Little Boy Blue.”
