Signed book from the personal library of General George S. Patton, Jr. Octavo, 276pp. Blue cloth, title in gilt on spine, blind stamped illustrations on front cover. Stated “First Published 1928” on copyright page. Illustrated endpaper. Scattered foxing. Housed in custom clamshell, decorative gilt on spine, blue leather with cloth boards. Signed by General George S. Patton on the front free end paper and dated “Nov, 1928.” Additional signature by Patton on the front cover, as he often did with books from his personal library.

Comments: General George S. Patton, one of the United States’ greatest combat generals, led the Third Army during the decisive battles that followed the Allied Invasion of France in 1944. He was commander of the U.S. Seventh Army during operations in Africa and Italy. He died at the age of 60 in Germany, shortly after the conclusion of WWII.
