William De Witt was a New York lawyer, public speaker, and a New York Democratic political figure. He is best remembered bibliographically for Sundry Speeches and Writings of William C. De Witt: Driftwood from Out the Current of a Busy Life, a collection of addresses, political writings, literary sketches, and public papers.
