Description

First edition, first printing of The Autobiography of Malcolm X, from the library of prominent African American sociologist, author and professor, Adelaide M. Cromwell.

Octavo, xvi, 455pp. Black cloth, title printed in gold on spine. Stated “first printing” on copyright page. Touch of wear to spine, solid text block. Previously erased notes in pencil on rear endpaper. In the publisher’s near fine dust jacket, $7.50 on front flap, touch of shelf wear, shallow chips to top edge of spine, short closed tear at hinge near spine, an attractive example. Signed by Adelaide C. Hill (maiden name Cromwell) on the front free endpaper. An outstanding example.
