Signed by two members of the 1953 British Mount Everest expedition on the half-title: Sir Edmund Hillary and George Lowe.

Sir Edmund Hillary (1919-2008) was a New Zealand mountaineer who took part in the 1953 British Mount Everest expedition. He and Tenzing Norgay were the first climbers to reach the summit. Fellow signers in this copy include documentary director George Lowe.
