Folio, xxvii, [2], 928pp. Quarter red leather over red cloth, spine stamped in gilt with raised bands, top edge gilt, red ribbon marker. Includes paperwork from the publisher. Housed in the publisher’s red cloth slipcase. Light dust remnant along top of cloth slipcase, rubbing to tips.
First published by W.W. Norton in 1968, the Hinman facsimile was produced from the First Folios in the Folger Shakespeare Library and was the first facsimile from multiple surviving copies.
A foundational reference work for Shakespeare scholarship and textual studies, this Norton edition remains the standard twentieth-century facsimile of the First Folio.
