Octavo, [6], 619pp. [1]. Publisher’s gray cloth covers, end papers illustrated with “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Stated “First Published in April 1939” on copyright page. Yellow top stain. Faint offsetting to endpapers, which is typical with this book. Internally clean.

Previous gift inscription on the front pastedown, noting: “I think it belongs alongside of ‘God’s Angry Man,” a novel by Leonard Ehlrich.

In the publisher’s first state dust jacket, with “First Edition” and $2.75 retail price on front flap, light wear at head of the spine, toning to the spine, free of restoration.
