Bookplate of George Sanders affixed to the front free endpaper. In the publisher’s first state dust jacket, $0.75 price on front flap, with the original tissue paper wrapper. (Halter T-457)

This copy is signed by Governor Alfred E. Smith on the front pastedown.

An exceptional copy, scarce in both the dust jacket and signed by Gov. Smith.

The Happy Warrior was Franklin D. Roosevelt’s second book, published September 18, 1928. The book features Roosevelt’s nominating speech for New York Governor Alfred E. Smith at the June 1828 Democratic National Convention.
