Tall octavo, [10], 122pp, [4]. Publisher’s red cloth, title in silver on the spine, with red top edge. Stated “First Printing, November, 1931” on the copyright page. In the publisher’s near fine jacket, $2.50 on front flap, light shelf wear, a few short closed tears, scarce in this condition.

Inscribed on the front pastedown to Robert Liddell Lowe, poet and professor of English at Purdue University: “For Bob / with the best wishes of his friend / Thornton / University of Chicago / Dec. 1931.”
The collection contains six one-act plays: The Long Christmas Dinner, Queens of France, Pullman Car Hiawatha, Love and How to Cure It, Such Things Only Happen in Books, and The Happy Journey to Trenton and Camden.
