Solid text block, light wear to covers, small pen mark to back cover. Previous ownership bookplate on front endpaper, stated: “This book is from the library of The Wrights” of New York City. Lacking the scarce dust jacket. Housed in a custom red cloth clamshell.

This copy is from the library of Benjamin Wright, the brother of Reverend Nathan Wright, a prominent black leader in Newark. Benjamin Wright was the father of Benjamin Wright, Jr., a Morehouse College student who was murdered in 1970. Civil Rights activist and Baptist minister Al Sharpton offered the benediction at Wright Jr.’s funeral. (New York Times, 1970)
