Inscribed by President Lyndon Johnson to Henry Diamond, the Executive Director of the White House Conference on Natural Beauty. Inscription reads: “To Henry Diamond, For his immense contribution to this book, The Conference, and the beauty of America – Lyndon Johnson.”
Mr. Henry Diamond is a lifelong advocate for environment protections. After leaving government in 1975 he founded one of the nation’s largest environment law firms, Beveridge & Diamond. In 1996 he authored Land Use in America, along with Patrick F. Noonan. In 2015, the Environmental Law Institute presented Mr. Henry Diamond with the lifetime Environmental Achievement Award.
