Mitch McConnell is the senior United States senator from Kentucky, who served as the Majority Leader of the United States Senate from January 3, 2015, to January 20, 2021. He is the longest-serving senator in Kentucky history and has served as leader of the Senate Republican Conference since 2007, also making him the longest-serving Senate party leader in history.
