Description
Thick octavo, [four volumes]. Blue gray leather, title in gilt on spine, gilt signature on front cover. Top edge gilt. Some wear at edges and on spine. The volumes include: The Constitution Prevails (1937), The Continuing Struggle for Liberalism (1938), War – And Neutrality (1939) and War – And Aid To Democracies (1940). This is an incredibly scarce limited edition publication, with one record of this set appearing at auction since publication. (Halter T-730)
Comments: This limited edition was published simultaneously with the first trade edition in 1941 and matches the limited edition of 500 leather bound copies published by Random House (Halter T-656) in 1938. It was compiled by Samuel I. Rosenman and designed by Haddon Craftsmen, Inc. Later editions would cover the years 1941-1945.
