Quarto, xxi, 198pp, [1]. Marbled cloth, leather title label on spine. Complete with five color plates by Jacquier, the pseudonym of Ivy Skinner. Light sunning along the spine, internally clean. Bookplate affixed to the front pastedown.
One of 1,500 numbered copies printed for sale in England and America; the text printed at The Kynoch Press, Birmingham, the pictures by A. Alexander and Sons, the copper plates engraved by C. Sigrist, and the prints hand-colored through stencils by The Curwen Press. This is number 1462 of 1500.

Thomson’s eighteenth-century poem cycle, originally published between 1726 and 1730, presents the natural year in four parts: “Spring,” “Summer,” “Autumn,” and “Winter,” and became one of the most influential descriptive poems of the period.
