Octavo, 447pp. Yellow boards, black cloth spine, title in gilt on spine. Stated “First Edition” on copyright page, with “R49” in the gutter of page 447. Solid text block, light rubbing to the tips of the spine, faint foxing along edges, near fine condition. In the publisher’s first state dust jacket, $8.95 on front flap. Sunning to spine, with a few ships along edges. Light shelf wear, a touch of toning to verso. A very good example of the vibrant dust jacket, with cover art by Dave Christensen. (Currey 227)

This is the third novel from acclaimed writer Stephen King. The Shining was notably adapted into a 1980 film starring Jack Nicolson and Shelley Duvall, directed by Stanley Kubrik.
