The War is a 2007 PBS documentary miniseries by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick that portrays World War II through the experiences of Americans in four representative towns-Waterbury, Connecticut; Mobile, Alabama; Sacramento, California; and Luverne, Minnesota. The film premiered on September 23, 2007, and became one of the network’s most viewed documentary events.
