Paired with the publisher’s first state dust jacket, $8.95 on front flap, touch of shelf wear, a near fine example. Inscribed on the front free endpaper: “December ’74 / For Gregory Peck, thanks so much for a fine time in Minneapolis – Hope you enjoy the book. Regards, Thomas Gifford.” Includes 13 pages with Gregory Peck’s handwritten production notes.

Gregory Peck purchased the film rights to this New York times best-selling thriller by Thomas Gifford in 1975. On the cover of the first paperback edition, the novel was announced as a “Major Motion Picture,” but the movie never went into production. Sold at Heritage Auctions, Lot 89191, February, 2023.
